Is Elegant Touch Cruelty Free?
From the information given on their website, I was unsure if Elegant Touch were cruelty free. Elegant Touch are listed as cruelty free by Peta, but Peta lists a number of other animal testing brands as cruelty free.
To be sure, I emailed Elegant Touch customer service, and received a great, quick response confirming their cruelty free status:
“Thank you for taking the time to write in to us.
“Please see attached our Company policy with regards to testing on animals and the below information.
“At present there is no law requirement in the EU, USA or international markets where Elegant touch is present that requires Original Additions’ products to be tested on animals. It is also against Original Additions’ policy to test cosmetic products on animals.
“Original Additions is not exporting products to China.”
As stated, they attached their company policy on animal testing, which states this:
“Original Additions (Beauty Products) Ltd are opposed to the testing of cosmetic products or ingredients on animals. This has been the Company philosophy since it was founded in 1977.
“Original Additions do not permit animal testing of any cosmetic products or ingredients by any sub-contract manufacturer, nor do we commission any such tests on our behalf. In this respect the Company is pleased to comply with the requirements of the Cosmetics Regulation EC 1223/2009.”
From this detailed information, we can be sure that Elegant Touch is a cruelty free brand.
Are Elegant Touch Products Vegan?
I have checked the ingredients of several Elegant Touch products and nail glues, and as far as I can see all of their products are vegan friendly. However, none of their products are labelled as vegan or certified by the Vegan Society, so I would always recommend checking the ingredients of any Elegant Touch nails and nail glue before purchase.
Are Elegant Touch a Sustainable Brand?
Elegant Touch products and packaging are all being made of plastic, and there is no information on their website about sustainability. I would therefore imagine that Elegant Touch are not planning on making any moves towards sustainability in the near future!
